Deryn; I think I did a darn good job on the shading for it being my first shaded doll. She remains one of the hardest dolls I've ever worked on and one of my favorites. 'Deryn' is Welsh for 'bird', in case you were wondering... ;) Freja; she was going to be an elf but, since you can't see the pointy ears, I decided to make her into a woodsy Norse woman... Yeah...

Mahuda; I was in the middle of writing a long story about some rather unusual desert people and, while suffering some severe writer's block, my artist's block exploded and out jumped Mahuda! Fern; this doll was made as an example for the 'Garden Girls' contest, here.

Cerise; I love dark skin and light hair. That's this doll's entire reason for existing. Oh, and 'Cerise' is a certain hue of red if you're under the impression that I'm just pulling these names out of thin air... ;) Veridis; this fairy was originally drawn on grid paper and mapped into MS Paint where it turned out to be only an inch or so big. I couldn't believe how tiny it was after all that work! So I blew it up, made a new base out of it, and here she is!

Lady Eien; made for a medieval doll contest. I'm not quite sure that she belongs in this section, though... *SHRUG* Marehka; this one took a long time- my wrists ache just thinking about the hours I spent trying to productively negotiate with the mouse. ;)

Abalonia; after finishing Marehka I was messing around with the color/contrast module and the experimental hair reminded me of Mother of Pearl- I liked the tresses enough to redo the rest of the doll. Now I can't decide which one I like more... *SIGH* Dulcie; I love the way this doll turned out- I was really worried about doing the wings. ;)

Marigold; made as an example for my Half and Half contest. This was the first version I made of this doll but after making four others this was still my favorite- I could have saved myself a couple of hours and worked on some other dolls! ;) Autumn; this is the first in a series of four seasonal fae- notice how the leaves match my background? ;)

Lucinda; this doll was made as an example for my 'Shades of Halloween' contest. It was originally supposed to be me (the face is nearly exact) but I changed it last minute- much prettier this way! ;) Lilac; this doll was made for Leyonne's 'Stripes Contest'- I was so happy with the way the stockings came out but I'm a little disappointed with the wings (they look better on a black background...).

Hannah; made for a witch contest at Whimsical Witch, one of my absolute favorite sites! :D I'm not happy with the cat at all but I really like the pumpkins. :) Winter; this is the second doll in my Four Seasons series... I wanted to make the dress out of Blue Spruce sprigs but I had to settle for holly- 'cause I'm just NOT that patient! ;)

Russet; I love the way this one turned out! :D She's based on a Linda Bergkvist painting and was made for Vicious Dreamers' Palms of Butterflies Contest... :) Valentine; she's awfully pink, isn't she? First doll made on my Lackadaisy base. :)

Salina; made for a mermaid contest at Amanda's Dollies... I really like the way the tail turned out. :) Rinti; made for a contest that was themed after Black Cat's art work- unfortunately, I missed the deadline... ^^'

Earth & Sky; this doll was made for Solace's 'Earth & Sky Contest' and took me almost two weeks to finish! ^^' Marifini; made for a mermaid contest at Nukapei's Dollhouse. I really love the colors in this one- when I started, I had a completely different color scheme in mind that didn't turn out so well... ^^'

Harvest Sprite; made to be the example doll in my 'Officially Autumn' contest, she signifies everything that makes Fall 'official' to me. ^_^ Moesea; made for a contest at A Little Controversy, this doll was created by imagining what type of person or creature would live in the fantasy-style pictures provided on the site. :)

The Blueberry Fairy; made as the example doll for my Berry Fairy Contest. This doll is actually based on one of the images that will be used in the coloring book that I'm almost finished making. :)

The Snail Princess (and entourage); made as the example doll for my Princess of... Contest. This will also be the first pattern in the cross-stitch series I'm creating.

Medici; created for the Obnoxious Collar Contest at The World of Purple. I had so much fun with this one because the theme encouraged entrants to be as over-the-top as possible! ^_^
